Snow Business: Immortal

To celebrate the beastly snow of feeble screams that is at this moment descending in London...

Here we have two legendary snow beasts whipping up a sonic blizzard. The 3rd album from Immortal 'Battles In The North' followed my all time favorite black metal record, Immortal's 'Pure Holocaust'. As such, I can remember being really excited when I first heard 'Battles' as a teenager, it totally blew my mind. At the time (1995) I could not work out how it was put together, the sheer speed and intensity of it, the sharp twists and turns. And with the huge amount of new fast/extreme bands that have popped up since this release, it still to an extent seems inconceivable that a band can be so compact, unbound and accelerated. Immeasurable Hails!

Space Cadet: Glenn Brown

To purport that this blog has some cultural relevance and to improve my chances with chicks...

OK I know jack shit about art but recently discovered the works of an English guy by the name of Glenn Brown (born 1966). He seems a bit similar to Dali and Rembrandt. I am really into the hardcore Sci-fi elements evident in some of his work. It's cool, basically.
